My favourite moon pictureImage of the moon taken at 12x zoom. Then cropping around the moon, and enlarging. I also did some minor adjustment of levels. Not bad for a point and shoot camera.

The moon behind some thin clouds.Uncropped 12x zoomed image of the moon. I like the effect of the thin clouds, so I enhanced it a little by increasing gamma slightly. Then resized from 2560x1920 down to 1024x768 (just as most of my images).

The moon (using digital zoom)Using the cameras internal digital zoom, for a total of 48x zoom. Then cropped and resized. I think this image is worser then the result of using just 12x zoom and then resizing (as done here).
